Enfys Limited was formed in 1984 by Alwyn Roberts. Having left TV-am, Alwyn invested in the new Betacam system and helped to establish this successful and revolutionary format. The business grew gradually, opening a small 750 sq.ft. Studio and building a small OB truck.

In 1990, we moved to much larger premises, where two new studios were built, one 4,800 sq.ft. and the other 1,000 sq.ft.

In 1994, we acquired and refitted OB Unit 1, which was capable of much larger scale work than the previous OB Unit. It was also one of the first digital OB trucks in Britain

In 1997, we built OB Unit 2 which was designed as a 'go-anywhere' digital truck, and is very versatile for it's size.

We are currently investing in High Definition systems, the first purchase being a HDCAM camcorder and hope to have full multi camera systems working soon.

Over the years, we have put together a very professional and enthusiastic team which has helped us nurture our growth into the medium sized facilities company we are today. We specialize in innovative and personnel service lead solutions for both national and international broadcasters. Our independence as a company is fiercely protected in a belief that we give service to programme makers without prejudice and preference. Our size and the ready access to key personnel, affords the production team first class service and advice especially in the field of new technology, and where interesting and unique ways of covering both established and ground breaking TV are required.
